Co-Chairs: Heather Carmichael, Jack Gonzalez
The
purpose of the homeless outreach subcommittee is to provide a forum for advocacy, problem solving and creation of an effective
service delivery network for the homeless population in Hollywood.
Our group aims to resolve issues of
conflict, recommend policy changes to local government officials and provides a forum for the discussion of ideas among law
enforcement officials, other City employees, Neighborhood Council members, service agencies, religious institutions, the homeless
and other members of the greater Hollywood community.
We meet on an as needed basis addressing both critical
and ongoing issues as they impact the community
PARTICIPATING AGENCIES:
• Los Angeles Police Department LAPD
• Los Angeles
Fire Department (LAFD)
• County Department of Mental Health
• Bureau
of Sanitation

We understand that homelessness in our community is not solely a social service problem nor a law enforcement
issue, but a broader social and economic issue that requires the whole communities’ care and concern. We are interested
